"Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the leash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat." - Mark Twain

I live with my two sons, in Oshawa Ontario, 30 minutes east of Toronto. We currently share our home with 9 Ragdoll cats.
In 1988, at the age of 17, I acquired a purebred American Cocker Spaniel named Maggie, whom I showed in both conformation shows, and obedience trials. I continued to show and breed American Cocker Spaniels and the ocassional Boxer, German Shepherd and Collie for almost 17 years. I have shown dogs to American and Canadian Championship titles as well as multiple obedience titles. My achievements include multiple Group and Puppy Group Placements, Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, and High in Trial winners.
In recent years I divorced and returned to school, attending Trent University for an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and then on to Osgoode Hall Law School to complete my LL.B. My main area of interest is criminal law but I also have extensive experience in civil litigation. It was maintaining this hectic schedule, as a working, single parent and full-time student, that brought an end to my involvement with purebred dogs.
In 2002 I encountered two Ragdolls at the home of an acquaintance and I fell in love with the breed. I spent a year researching Ragdolls, and in early 2004, I purchased my first Ragdoll, from a breeder near London. The breeder allowed me to take some time to decide if I wanted to show and eventually breed, or simply enjoy her as a pet. After almost year of living with my Ragdoll, and a great deal more research, I made the decision to purchase a male, and with him two other female kittens. Shortly after I added a a fourth girl and a second boy to my menagerie. It is, with these lovely Ragdolls, that I began a small showing and breeding program.
These days you will find us in the show ring, or at home, playing with babies and our adult cats. Much of what I do is made possible by the special someone in my life. He's the offical kitten wrangler, the toy/play/scratch behind the ears guy, and the one who keeps me grounded and helps me keep the house running for our wonderful cats; and for that, I am eternally grateful. Here's to you, Kid.
